Movie Montage Collage

Drama Genre

Mommie Dearest

The film for this week is Mommie Dearest. This is the story of Joan Crawford who is played by Faye Dunaway, and her life according to a book written by her daughter. She was “to vain to have children” and then decides to adopt children and “give them the opportunity to live a wonderful and advantaged life.” However stardom turns amiss as the story unfolds. This movie is a cult classic, a drama, and to a few of us a comedy. Remember when you call her Mommie Dearest, she wants you to mean it!

arielklemann asked: Looks like an interesting movie. When was it made?

2005, but it is based on another movie called “Tell You Children” from the 1930’s.

Musical Genre

Reefer Madness

The movie for this week is Reefer Madness! This film has a vast array of stars for your liking and a storyline to thrill you. The music makes you laugh, and the musical numbers make this grand. I had no idea what I had gotten into when seeing this movie and it instantly became part of my collection. Unlike anything I had seen before, and probably some of you, I suggest renting this if you enjoy laughing, singing, or any one of the actors listed.

alaskanadventures asked: Wow that looks like a scary clip! Did you pick out any special movies to watch on the actual day of Halloween? My group of friends decided to watch the original Halloween movie. It was scary.

Yes, I ended up watching Childs Play 1 and 2 with Chucky.

Copycat Trailer

Nov 02

Thriller Genre

This weeks film is Copycat starring Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter. Weaver is a criminal psychologist who has agoraphobia after an attack. Some years later there is a copycat and Hunter comes to her for help on the case. When I think of this movie it brings up emotions of excitement, inquisition, and love. In my mind more movies should be made about tracking down killers than just torture. There is something about watching these people develop rather than nowadays where they hack people and get shot in the head at the end. Movies should be like Copycat and Silence of the Lambs, end of story. A psychological, who-dunnit, which will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat to the very end!

Last year was the entire “Nightmare on Elm Street” collection, so this year will probably be “Friday the 13th”.

valpokatie asked: Cool blog! What's your favorite movie?

Way to go for the jugular, haha… Right now I would have to say Enough with Jennifer Lopez or Double Jeopardy with Ashley Judd because I loves me some good revenge movies. If you are ever in the mood watch either Enough or Double Jeopardy!

Oct 26

Action Genre

This weeks films are the action/cult classic Kill Bill (both volume 1 and 2). Uma Thurman plays the role of the bride who, during her wedding, was gunned down and left for dead. This is the premise of the movie comes inĀ  … dun dUn DUN … to Kill Bill! There is a wonderful cast including Lucy Liu, Vivica A. Fox, Daryl Hannah, and David Carradine. Quentin Tarantino uses bright colors, clever dialogue, and great directing and screenwriting skills to make a winner. If you have not seen these movies go out and rent them. If you have seen them, go out and rent them anyways and bask in the glory of Kill Bill!
